Success Self Affirmations for the MLM Newbie

Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Everybody says that Network Marketing is the best self development business to get into.

Most people who have no business background yet start a home based business, usually have a lot of work to do on their personal development and self belief.

One of the first steps a newbie in MLM (or any other kind of home based business) does is create a positive self talk or self affirmation.

The purpose of self talk is to convince oneself that he/she is successful, confident, healthy, wealthy, etc.

It is a daily exercise in changing your belief system.  If you believe in your ability to be successful in growing your business, then you will be successful.

Many people want to be successful and go forth with starting a business, but subconsciously they do not believe they can be successful.

We must understand the law of nature in that our subconscious mind rules our conscious mind!  This includes our emotions.

Only the dominant thoughts, beliefs and emotions in our subconscious mind will prevail.  Our success, wealth and happiness depend on our subconscious.

The only way to control our subconscious mind is through constant daily self talk (self affirmations) and mental exercises and habits.

  • You must say your self talk every single day from the time you wake up in the morning until you go to bed at night.
  • Say it at least 100 times a day.
  • When you go to bed, focus on your self talk and your goals.
  • Actively visualize yourself having what you want.

Many newbies to MLM continue to have a lack of success with their self talk and business building.

If a person’s belief is extremely damaged he has to start his personal road to recovery with very small baby steps.

Self talk will not work if you are constantly creating opposition in your mind!

If a person says:

  • I am healthy.
  • I am wealthy.
  • I am successful.

but has so much negative subconscious programming that they cannot truly believe they are healthy, wealthy, and successful, it will never happen!

It is like the kitten in the mirror being told by her sponsors to “Believe you are a lion!” or say “I am a lion!”  But the kitten’s belief is so opposite to those statements, becoming the lion will never happen.

What if the kitten can’t get the subconscious image out of her head that she is stuck in a fishbowl?

For a person having trouble getting around their negative programming, they can say simply

  • health
  • wealth
  • success

And that is it!
Get the belief in the words into the subconscious first.

Eventually, if followed through with, the person will feel more confidence and belief in their ability to be healthy, wealthy, and successful.

Then it will be time to use statements with “I am…” in them for self talk.

The road to personal development can be a long and winding road for some people.  It can also feel scary and treacherous.

You don’t have to do this alone!

Your success also depends on having mentors who will believe in you until you can believe in yourself!

CMP.ly Helps Bloggers With FTC Disclosure

Tags: , , , , , , , , ,

Most home based business professionals who blog or otherwise have websites for their businesses are aware of the FTC Disclosure requirements passed earlier this year.

FTC

If you in any way, shape or form make money or have the potential to make money from content on your site, you have to disclose that to your readers.

This includes affiliate links or buttons and any kind of review you post on a product or service that you received compensation for.

Compensation could be receipt of a sample or actual payment for doing a review.

I found a terrific resource from CMP.ly that helps bloggers and website owners comply with the FTC Disclosure requirements.

Their four solutions programs are for Bloggers, Brands, Agencies, and Affiliate Marketing.

When you sign up for a free account with CMP.ly, register your site and then choose the type of disclosure you need.

cmply

The site has easy to understand explanations of which disclosure you need for which kind of activity you are doing.

  • Post contains author’s own opinions and he has not been paid or has no material connection.  Author may receive unrelated payment.
  • Post based upon a review copy or sample.  Author is not paid but did receive an item related to post.
  • Post based on a sample or gift received that author was not paid for.
  • Post based on an advertising relationship and author has been paid.
  • Author is an employee or a shareholder.
  • Author has included affiliate links on her site.
  • Custom disclosure allows author to create a disclosure that is not covered in the previous 6 disclosures.

{information excerpted from CMP.ly Blogger Solutions.}

They also give you tips on whether a disclosure can be in your sidebar or if it needs to be directly in the post.

It is well worth your time and effort to take advantage of this free service if you rely heavily on your blog or other website as a form of income.

How To Get Your Work Done When School Is Out

Tags: , , , , , ,

A huge percentage of home based businesses are run by people with children.

Many of those parents are stay at home moms, with some stay at home dads thrown into the mix.

When June comes, thousand of children say farewell to their teachers and school books.

They hit home one day and begin a 2 1/2 month siege on our schedules.

Learning how to stay focused on the tasks we need to complete for our business is critical to success.

When our children are home on school break, we are endlessly distracted with their activities and outings.

Make a point of scheduling for yourself a block of time during each day when you will be the least distracted.

Focus on completing the tasks you need uninterrupted concentration for.

For me, this would be the time I work on blogs, website content, and correspondence with prospects.

During times you are more likely to be distracted, work on business activities that do not require close attention to detail.

This might be sending out Direct Matches emails where you use the same copy & paste material.

Whatever your business activities are, remember to prioritize the most essential and productive tasks.

Don’t waste time on anything that can be addressed another time.

Spend that extra time with your children and enjoy your vacation time with them!

Web Site Design and the Emotional Meaning of Colors

Tags: , , , , , , , ,

Creating websites in today’s online home business environment has become the next greatest do-it-yourselfer project.

Anyone can make a website with minimal investment and practically no technical knowledge at all.

Owning your very own website goes far beyond simply creating a blog these days.

One of the factors to consider when choosing the design of your website is color.

color-wheel

The internet has accentuated how we respond to visual information.

We are no longer bound to black and white text.  We now have a sensory menu of color, images, animation, and videos.

We have come to expect a website to be visually appealing and tantalizing…entertaining us with every click of the mouse.

The colors we choose for a website are far more important than picking our favorite colors.

There is a psychology of colors that should be considered when choosing your theme color palette.

Color Wheel Pro created a page on the meaning of colors on their site that is worth reviewing.

One of the things you define when planning your website is your target niche or audience.

Based on who they are you determine their characteristics, needs and desires.

Most people make their initial decisions based on emotion, not intellect.

audience

You need to decide how you want to present the value in what you have to offer and who you are as a servant.

What emotions or impression do you want to inspire in the minds of your site visitors?

You have about 10 seconds to make your first impression.

You then have about 30 seconds to 2 minutes to make your point and convince your reader that YOU can help them solve their problems.

The color you use in your website will strike the first impression, even if your visitors are not consciously aware of it.

This is particularly true of the header banner which is the first thing your visitors see.

Some color examples:

Black is formal or death.

Red is danger or sensual.

Yellow is warm, happy or intellectual.

What do you feel when you put black and red together like a man in a tuxedo with a red rose in his lapel?

What do you feel when you see black and yellow together like when you see a bee?

On the contrary, what do you feel when you see a sunflower?

The color blue often relates calm, cool, and confidence.  When the Mother Mary is painted as a Saint, she is often wearing a cloak in deep blue.

When blue is combined with red and yellow, we get Superman.

So, remember, put careful thought into your website color scheme when creating your online image.
